About Bicycle User Groups (BUGS)

Bicycle User Groups (BUGs) can be a great way to meet other cyclists, find great people to ride with, new places to ride, and get improvements to bike facilities.

Whether you want to get bike parking at your workplace, improvements to a section of local road or meet other people to ride with, joining a BUG can be the way to go.

BUGs can do a number of things

• Organise regular social rides
• Meet and discuss local cycling issues and lobby council for improvements
• Offer advice to councils on identifying important bicycle routes and projects
• Be involved in the community such as participating in working bees on trails
• Provide a voice for cyclists within workplaces seeking better parking and end of trip facilities.
