What do you get when you cross hi-visibility with cool gear? You get a cheeky little idea called monkeySee!Purveyors of surprisingly playful high visibility (hi-vis) and reflective clothing and accessories, monkeysee is a home-grown Australian company based in Sydney. They’re also proud sponsors of the Ride2School Day initiative on March 17th in NSW. As well as being a truly bright idea, monkeysee have taken plain old hi-visibility vests and accessories and transformed them into really cool gear to help everyone be seen and stand out from the crowd.Denise Straty, Chief Chimp at monkeysee has never been more excited. “I love getting out and about on my bike, but it was really hard to get myself seen without looking daggy! So I got together with some fantastic young designers and formed monkeysee. The response has been amazing. We’ve had great feedback from the cycling community too.”It’s not only a great idea – the timing has never been better. With more and more traffic on the road, standing out isn’t just important – it’s essential. Denise says she has been overwhelmed by the response, often from unexpected places.“One of the biggest surprises was just how many parents were interested in the hi-vis vests and jackets for their kids when they were walking to school. And now we are speaking with schools about incorporating their logos. It’s really exciting.” says Straty. As well as being affordable, it's effective, it's easy to wear, and it will definitely have your friends talking. monkeysee is giving each participating school up to 50 free slap-bands to hand out to kids that participate in the Ride2School Day event.See the range for yourself at www.monkeysee.net.au
