Fairfield City Staff and members from the Western Sydney Cycling Network (WSCN) attended an Awards evening last Thursday for the Keep Australia Beautiful Sustainable Cities Awards.
The WSCN is a group of volunteers who collect used bikes and recycle them for local residents to improve health outcomes for our residents with physical activity. The group also recycle parts of the bike (tyres/frame) that are not able to be fixed, for other uses such as wheelchairs and soft fall for children's play areas.
WINNER - of the Lancom Sustainable Community Award - Fairfield City Council's Western Sydney Cycling Network. Congratulations!!!!
